Have you seen the movie Avengers and liked it? The movie Eternals comes after Avengers, and is an Endgame. The premise is superhuman beings, known as the Eternals, have been hiding on Earth for a thousand years. They are forced out of hiding to fight the creatures known as the Deviants. This movie was highly talked about around the school. This movie is very controversial, as some people say it was kind of boring but others say it was very exciting. According to seventh grader Marissa Dichiaro, the plot twist in the movie was the most exciting part, “It was definitely surprising when Ikarus ended up turning against the Eternals, and I would definitely like a sequel.“
Do you like a movie that has a lot of action in it and also has fantasy elements? A martial arts master Shang-Chi comes face to face with the past he thought he left behind. He’s drawn into a mysterious web of the Ten Rings Organization. Follow along on his journey in the movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. People have sad this movie is very exciting. Seventh grader Nick Calandra said, “The movie was really good, and the most exciting part was when he got the 10 rings. I would definitely like to see a sequel to this movie.”
Are you searching for an adventurous movie with action that also has some scariness to it? Venom: Let There Be Carnage might be the movie for you. Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is having a hard time coexisting with this shape-shifting extraterrestrial creature called Venom. But when deranged serial killer Cletus Kasady also becomes a host to an alien symbiote, Brock and Venom have to put aside their differences and come together to stop Cletus Kasady. This movie is said to keep you on your toes! According to 7th grader Anthony Cabrera “It was very exciting, and I would recommend it as an exciting movie to watch.”
Have you been searching for a movie where the main character is a girl and there is a big female representation? Then Black Widow might be the movie you want to watch. Natalie Romanoff (Scarlett Johanssen) A.K.A. The Black Widow, is being chased by her past, a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down. Natasha must bring back her history of being a spy and all of the broken relationships that she left behind long before her becoming an Avenger. There are mixed opinions on this movie but you could like it. But, if you love the MCU and you are a big marvel fan I bet you have been waiting for a movie about her background! Go watch it, you might like it! Whilst this movie sounds thrilling, some people have watched it and don’t think so. Eighth grader Jaiya Leroy explained, “I wouldn’t want a sequel to this movie, it took too long to get to the point; it needs to get to the point faster.”
This Sci-fi/Adventure movie starring Timothée Chalamet has just recently come out but it already has crowds buzzing all about it. Dune tells us an emotional story of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), a beaming and highly gifted young man born into a great destiny far beyond his understanding. Atreides must go to a highly dangerous planet in the universe to ensure that his friends and family have a safe future. Along the way meets and loses friends, discovers new things and makes allies, and builds connections. Eighth grader Olivia Frank said, “My favorite character was Paul because he had the most shape to him. He had the most character development. I really liked the movie as well, it had a good plot.”
