At Edison Intermediate School (EIS), excitement is building as the eighth-grade dance approaches. Students have been eagerly discussing their plans such as what they’ll wear and the activities they’re participating in at the event.
Many people are getting ready for the dance by buying nice and trending clothes. Many people are invested in the different looks that people will be wearing. The students have been discussing who would look good in what and which designs suit them. Eighth grader Jack Mroz said, “I’m wearing a tan sports coat, navy pants, and a red tie. This is a nice outfit that I think of when going to the dance.”
A seventh grader, named Noah Rodrigues, explained what he would wear if he went to the eighth grade dance, saying, “I would wear a button-up shirt and nice dress shorts and then some nice socks and shoes.”
There is a pattern that EIS boys are following. The look is stylish right now, and many different people are going to be wearing similar things. The excitement of many outfit choices reflects how invested students are in looking their best for this special occasion. Girls are also embracing the season’s style trends. Eighth grader Juliana Brito said, “I’m wearing a tight pink dress with pearls on it. It’s from Windsor.”
There are going to be many activities happening during this event, but the students are looking forward to certain activities. Eighth grade student Ben Ryvkin said, “I am excited to be around my friends. I am also excited for the food, dancing, and socializing.”
Along with those activities, there will be other features at the event like a photo booth. A lot of people think this will be exciting considering that photo booths are known for turning a party up. Eighth grader Mimi Valle explained, “I’m so excited to see who people are going with and people’s outfits. The theme for the event this year is Hollywood All The Stars.”
We should expect to see Hollywood-themed decorations.
A sixth grader named Kiera Evangelista said, “During dance, I would like to listen to R&B, rap, & pop. I would want to hear popular songs that people like.”
The music that came out this year and the past year has been rising on social media a lot. A lot of people are expecting to hear the top 100 hits.
Additionally, many people have an opinion on the dances and whether students should have dances. Sixth grader Tai Leroy said, “ My favorite type of parties are costume parties, proms, and after parties.”
This shows that there are many different types of parties that people like. These opinions illustrate that school dances, while not for everyone, are an important and memorable part of student life for many. Overall, there are many things that students are looking forward to as the 8th grade dance at Edison Intermediate School approaches. From choosing the perfect outfit and keeping up with current fashion trends to enjoying the exciting activities planned for the evening, the event is generating a lot of anticipation. In addition to the event itself, many are already thinking about what they might do afterward, whether it’s an after-party or simply spending time with friends. All in all, the eighth grade dance promises to be a memorable and meaningful event for the entire class.
